This full-time Physical Therapist position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students across multiple school sites in the Okaloosa County area, located near Niceville, FL in the scenic Panhandle region. The role is an itinerant assignment serving a caseload of approximately 40 students, primarily of elementary school age, providing focused therapeutic support to enhance their physical development and school participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students across multiple schools within the district.
- Assess student needs and develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educators and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly to promote optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district regulations.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current Physical Therapist license through the Florida Department of Health.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently across various locations.
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and compliance requirements.
